Since Biafra agitations started in Nigeria, there have been various new updates to it.
Biafra Flag
However, one of the latest of the updates is the logo of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which took over the favicon space on the website of one of Nigeria’s foremost conventional national daily newspaper, The Punch.
A favicon also known as a shortcut icon, website icon, tab icon or bookmark icon, is a file containing one or more small icons, associated with a particular website or web page. Visitors to the site, Punchng.com, today, Tuesday, December 1, were greeted with the Biafra’s horizontal tricolour of red, black, and green instead of the bold ‘P’ logo enmeshed in colour red (which represents Punch).
This has got everyone wondering if the news site has been hacked by members of the IPOB or it is a technical mistake from the ends of the management. See screenshots we got below:
Meanwhile, over seven thousands of members of Indigenous People of Biafra, yesterday, November 30, took to the streets to protest for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra. The protesters mobilised from Onitsha, Asaba, Awka, Ekwulobia, Awka-Etiti, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi and Abia states shut down markets and all commercial activities in Nnewi, Anambra state
